Mysteries of Pittsburgh

I highly recommend Chabon’s first novel for recent college grads…the protagonist is Art Bechstein, a recent graduate of a Pittsburgh College. The book is the story of his highly entertaining summer, while seeking glory beyond his father’s criminal empire and pondering the nature of love.  It’s an excellent story that has very little in common with its movie adaptation.
