Peter & Donna Thomas

Peter and Donna Thomas present the books they make by hand at their Santa Cruz workshop: miniature books, fine press books, artists’ books (miniature and large), and ukulele books. Peter plays a ukulele book and sings “What’s a Book?”

Since 1976, Peter and Donna Thomas have worked individually and collaboratively to make paper, letterpress print and bind books, and create books. Also known as the Wandering Book Artists, they recently spent six months traveling the country in their Gypsy Wagon Bookmobile. Major universities and museums around the world collect their work.
